The Latest and Greatest!

It is so great that the warmer weather has finally found its way to Maine! I honestly couldn't have taken many more cold days. We have been soaking up these days outside and enjoying the fresh air! I am enjoying the evenings more now that I have a NEW job! Yes you read it right, I finally am off the phones for the time being. I was promoted last week to the role of Specialist/Strategic Incentives with Fairpoint. I handle all the incentives, spurts, sales tracking, party planning, etc at work. It is a big challenge, but I am happy to tackle it head on and get my brain going again! The hours technically are 8-5, but as you know that never works out. I find myself getting there before 8:00 and most often working past 5:00. On the days I get out on time we try and get the boys out for some fresh air. This weekend we went to Deering Oaks Park with my friend Jody and Lisa along with their kids. It was a great day and the park was packed!

After the park we headed to Babies R Us to pick up a few things. As I was parking Nathan started fussing and I looked back and he got sick. There was something going around school and they picked it up (as usual). Needless to say that was the start of a weekend of vomit and poops that still is going on and we are hoping tomorrow they are better. Brady was so fussy and irritable I plopped him in the sink for a tubby and it calmed him down immediately (too bad I couldn't keep him there all day ) kidding.

15 Month Appointment

Nathan and Brady had their 15 month appointment today. It was the first appointment that I had to miss because of work, that made me really sad. Jon took the the boys and seemed to retain more than I usually do, I think I am always so upset over the shots that it all goes out the window. Anyway, getting to the good stuff!
Nathan:

Weight- 27.6lbs

Length- 32 1/8

Brady:

Weight- 27.2lbs

Height- 32 1/8

They are big boys, but right on target for their age. Developmentally they are both doing great and are right on for that as well! I was happy to hear this and excited as well, seeing as they were 5 weeks premature. They continue to enjoy each other more and more as the days go by. Often we will be in the family room and I will see them sitting at their table reading books together. They do battle over toys like crazy, but that is to be expected.

Now that the warmer weather is upon us we are going to try and get outside as much as we can! I am tired of being cooped up in the house! We went for a wagon ride on Saturday and on Sunday we met the Smith's and the Plummer's for some play time at the park. It was really great to see them and their precious girls.

Happy Easter

We hope that everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend! The boys were very excited when they awoke from their nap and realized that the easter bunny had come a day early!!

The slide and swing have been a big hit and Kasey and Max enjoyed them as well !

Kasey and Max

We invited Ray, Lindsay, Max, Mason, Harley, Kelly and Kasey over for some dinner last night. It was great to have some company and the kids had a blast together! I can't wait for some warmer days when we can all sit on the patio and enjoy the weather!

This Easter morning I dragged Jon and the boys to church at the Cathedral. We had to arrive about 45 minutes early to ensure we got a seat at the 10:00 mass. With that being said, the mass didn't get over until 11:50! Nathan and Brady did really well, but it was touch and go for some time. They really wanted to get down and run and play! There were other little kids running around and this old usher kept yelling at them to stop running, he was so angry. It was so sad, they were under 2 and really had no idea what he was saying. It was a wonderful mass and always special when the bishop is attending and giving the service. After church we headed to Sebago Brewing company for brunch which was delicious! The boys were on nap strike today so they headed to bed extra early, without any complaints!

Westport Island

Today we went to visit Johan, Susannah and their son Leo in Westport Island. It is only a little over an hour from Gorham and it is a lovely ride. They have a beautiful home, with sweeping views of the ocean and an array of animals to keep anyone entertained. They have 2 Pygmy Goats, 3 dogs and some cats...not sure how many because they were hiding from Skeeter the entire time. Their son Leo just turned six months and he is the cutest and happiest little guy. We had a wonderful day with them and it was great to catch up on what has been going on in their lives!!

Getting Better

I would like to say that things are 100% back to normal, but they aren't quite yet. After my last post, Nathan and Brady were diagnosed with
Bronchiolitis, which is a common illness of the respiratory tract caused by an infection that affects the tiny airways, called the bronchioles, that lead to the lungs. As these airways become inflamed, they swell and fill with mucus, making breathing difficult. That being said, we have been administering 3x daily nebulizer treatments on them, which last 20 minutes a piece. We have been watching a LOT of Sesame Street, because this is the only way they will sit still long enough! We also had another scare, Brady had an allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin that he had been taking for his ear infection. He broke out in the worst case of hives I have ever seen, poor thing. This weekend they started acting more like themselves and I am hoping that we can make it until Spring healthy! I also found out how they both started getting so sick, a little girl in their daycare class was diagnosed with Pneumonia and got the entire room sick! Aghhh , you have to love it !

In other news I wanted to send out a special congratulations to Julie Nickerson, she got engaged over the weekend to Jerry! Congrats Jules and Jerry, we are very happy for you!
