Gray Wildlife Park

Yesterday Brady drove Nathan and I to the Gray Wildlife Park.

We all enjoyed seeing the animals up close and personal, but I must say I am a bit partial to petting zoos at this stage but we still had fun!

We saw bears, mountain lions, a moose, deer, owls, a vulture and the list goes on and on.

Jody, Raegan and Eli also joined us and as always it was great to see them. Raegan was a BIG help with pulling Nathan and Brady in their wagon!!

We also enjoyed some ice-cream, mmmm, and then it was back home for some dinner!!

Fun with Molly and Sullivan!!

Yesterday we ventured to West Paris to spend the day with my friend Veronica and her two children Molly and Sullivan. We all had a wonderful time, her home is lovely and literally sits on top of a spectacular mountain. They have a dog, kittens, 4 cats, two donkeys and 2 bunnies, the boys enjoyed all the animals and had a blast playing with Molly and Sully! Thanks Veronica for having us up to your home, we can't wait to come again and chase the donkeys!

8 Weeks

It is really hard for me to believe that in 8 weeks or so we will be turning our heat on for the first time. I signed up for my budget oil plan and I gasped at the monthly payments, that money could be well spent somewhere else, but so is life! Moving on...

August has been quite busy for us, hence no posts since July ( sorry Jody). The first weekend in August, Jon and I both ran the Beach to Beacon. We finished in 67 minutes and we were both happy with our time, Dad finished 18 seconds ahead of me, way to hammer down old man :>) My brother and sister in law also ran, but they were way ahead of us!! The following weekend I competed in my first triathalon. Thank you so much to all that donated, the race raised over 200k towards cancer research that will stay in Maine. The race was awesome and I can honestly say I enjoyed every moment. It took me 1hr and 41 minutes to finish, once again, I was thrilled with that time. The swim went better than expected, I am not much of a swimmer. The bike was a lot of fun, spectators along the way. Thanks Mrs. Mooney and Erin M!! The run was tough the first 1/2 mile because my legs were like jelly from biking, but as I was nearing the 1.5 mile mark I perked up because Jody, Raegan and Eli were there cheering me on all the way from Topsham. Thanks Jody for being such a good friend and a good sport to get two kids packed up and in the car at that hour, not an easy task I know!

Overall it was a memorable experience and I can't wait for next year! Thanks Jon, Nathan, Brady, Mom and Dad for cheering me on and supporting me in my training, I couldn't have done it without you!

Needless to say, I haven't taken many pictures in August, but I will close with a couple from the other day!

BOBFEST

This past weekend we attended Bobfest! This is our annual summer outing up to Bob and Cindy's house and we look forward to it every year! This started 11 years ago with Jon and all of his fraternity brothers getting together at Wades parent's house for a weekend of camping and drinking, it then turned into the girlfriends attending, now wives and now all the kids. Jon and I brought Nathan and Brady up and I would like to say we had a relaxing day and got to catch up with everyone, well that wasn't the case. We had a great time, but we were VERY busy chasing around toddlers and trying to keep them happy. I am sure each year it will get easier and maybe one of these years we will try camping out again :>)

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been very busy these past couple of weeks! It is hard to believe that SUMMER is halfway done, it always goes by far more quickly than WINTER!! I enjoyed a 4 day weekend two weeks ago with the boys and we embarked on some VERY enjoyable adventures !
On Friday, Jody and her two boys, met us in Gorham and we headed to Watchic Lake for some swimming and playing. This is my second time enjoying this GEM of a beach that is only 7 miles from my house, who knew ! All the kids had a great time and I braved the water the entire time as well, mostly to keep an eye on Nathan and Brady when they were in the water.
Here are some shots from the lake.

After the lake we headed back to the Hanisko home for some much needed naps and some resting for Jody and I! All 3 children napped like champs, but Nate decided he wanted Jody and I all to himself, so I didn't really get a break, but that's ok!!

After naps we all enjoyed some dinner and then we got really brave and took all the boys to the Maine Academy of Gymnastics for open gym! This was SO much fun!!! All the kids had a blast as did I running around crazy like a kid myself and bouncing around on the trampolines, I was having flashbacks to my gymnastics days! (Thanks Mom and Dad)

Brady and Nathan on the trampoline!!They loved the pit !We're going to catch you ELI !!Eli, Raegan, Nathan and Brady all on the big kids trampoline!!

Saturday, we all got up early and embarked on another 12 mile bike ride. Jon got to pull the boys as I coasted along on my road bike, I don't know how he did it, but he did and no complaints along the way!!

On Sunday, the boys and I, enjoyed a visit from Alicia and her son Ben. The boys slept the entire time, which was fine because Ben was a super preemie and really didn't need the extra germs around him!! He was 1lb 8ozs when he was born and now he is all the way up to 5lbs, he is so cute and doing so great!! You can read more about his adventures at

It's hard to believe this is how big Nate and Brady used to be!! Thanks for coming out to visit ALICIA!!

Finally on Monday we enjoyed some R&R at home, getting some great (much needed) LONG naps in for the boys. We also enjoyed playing outside and swimming in their kiddie pool!!

The ING'S- Relaxing, Biking, Farming, and Swimming

We enjoyed our 4th of July weekend ! Sadly, Jon had to work Friday and Sunday, but that didn't stop us from packing in the weekend with activities and enjoying every minute we had together. We hung out at Grammy and Dampas on Friday, we took the boys on a 12 mile bike ride Saturday, we visited Wolfe's Neck Farm and the boys played in their swimming pool. Phew I am tired just reading it, here are some pictures !!
